Macro guru Raoul Pal is calling Bitcoin / Crypto the fastest growing asset class in human history and predicts gargantuan growth for the cryptocurrency markets by 2030.

The Real Vision CEO says Crypto markets could 100x from current levels and reach a $200 trillion market cap, even if there are slow years along the way.

β€œWe’re at 300 million active users worldwide in digital assets. Essentially, it’s growing at 185% [per year]. We get to 600 million-plus, call it 750 million, by the end of this year. Even if we have a slow year – we get to 500 million. The year after, it’s a billion. The year after that, it’s two billion. Year after that – four billion.

The speed at which this is coming, people do not comprehend. And the movement, I think, from the $2 trillion asset class today to the $200 trillion asset class that’s [Jeff Dorman’s] talking about is by the end of the decade.”

Facebook and the Metaverse

The metaverse is an online realm that allows people to interact with each other in a virtual world. As a result, it has become a popular topic of discussion, and Microsoft has announced plans to build its own metaverse. The company said that its Teams program will allow users to visit virtual spaces as early as 2022. This virtual space could be a combination of blockchain technology, data centers, and software. In theory, it would function much like the internet.

The metaverse will be accessible on mobile devices, desktop computers, gaming consoles, and virtual reality glasses or headsets. Millions of users will be able to interact and work together in this virtual environment. Several companies are already operating in this virtual space. Decentraland, for example, recently sold a plot of digital land for $2.43 million. Meanwhile, the popular game developer Epic Games announced a $1 billion funding round in April 2021.

The metaverse will be a conceptual collection of open settings and worlds with interoperable assets. It is anticipated that collectible NFT assets will be converted into 3D avatars that users will use to interact with one another. In the future, social interaction with the metaverse could be entirely possible. And Facebook, one of the biggest tech companies in the world, is also making big moves in this field. Recently, the company announced a $50 million investment in research, with plans to hire 10,000 people in Europe over the next five years.
