The Metaverse Could Be Real With NFTs and Facebook’s Zuckerberg Network

The term “metaverse” is used to describe an enormous network of real-time rendered 3D virtual worlds that can be experienced by an effectively infinite number of people. This network is designed to keep data and content consistent across virtual worlds, while allowing users to interact and sell items across them. In other words, the Metaverse is a dream of the future of the internet. And it might actually be real, thanks to developments in NFTs, the next generation of mobile devices.

The term “metaverse” was first coined by author Neal Stephenson, who thought that it would be the next generation of virtual reality. His idea involved a game that rewarded players for their technical skill as expressed by their avatar. It was an early precursor to registration requirements and paywalls. Nonetheless, the concept has caught on as a trend in virtual reality. The concept of a “metaverse” has been discussed a lot in recent years, but it remains unclear exactly what it entails.

The term “metaverse” has been on the forefront of tech industry thinking for a few years now, and it is most often associated with virtual reality. Virtual reality was still taking its hesitant steps in the ’90s when Stephenson wrote Snow Crash, but standalone wireless devices like Quest and Oculus were launched in 2014. In 2014, Facebook purchased Oculus, which is the company behind the popular virtual reality platform. But even though the concept is largely hypothetical at this point, it can lead to a new kind of work-from-home opportunity.
