Binance is a cryptocurrency exchange formerly based in Hong Kong and one of the absolute giants in the industry. It was launched in July 2017 and has become the undisputed leader in cryptocurrency exchange trading volumes. On March 22, 2022, Binance announced on its website that it had 90 million registered users.
On July 1 at 11:00 UTC+2, Binance NFT Marketplace announced the launch of the NFT collection based on the movie Music Hole. The film, co-produced by Luc Besson and Rockstone Films, premiered.
The film’s eccentric characters inspire the Music Hole NFT collection. The deck will feature their original portraits created by Parisian artists Martin Richard, Stéphane Assad, and Béchard Jive. The collection, in collaboration with Parisian film and entertainment producer Amos Rosenberg, was brought to life by the Swiss art gallery NFT SP3CE.
Users purchased an NFT from the collection and received complimentary tickets to the movie premiere. Those who purchased an NFT movie poster also had the opportunity to meet its cast and crew. Through this collaboration, Binance reaffirms its commitment to bringing digital assets into the film world.
Binance Labs, the venture capital arm and gas pedal of Binance, and Republic jointly led the initial funding round for Magic Square, Web3’s first community-driven, multi-network crypto app store.
The project will use the proceeds for hyper-scale user growth, product development, and team expansion. Magic Square is preparing for the official launch of its closed beta shortly while processing checks for the app’s listing. Soon after that, the public beta will be open to 50,000 pre-registered users.
The seed round is led by Republic Capital and includes strategic partners such as KuCoin Labs, GSR, IQ Protocol, Gravity Ventures, Alpha Grep, and business angels.
Binance also announced that its Spanish subsidiary Moon Tech Spain, SL, has received registration as a virtual asset service provider with the Bank of Spain. This registration will allow the exchange to offer crypto-asset exchange and custody services in Spain as required by the central bank’s anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing regulations. This milestone follows the European registration of local Binance organizations in France and Italy.
Another major news for the Binance exchange was the announcement of the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia.
Binance and SERC will collaborate to develop the securities sector in Cambodia through Binance, supporting the following:
Binance will share technical knowledge and expertise in digital asset transactions with SERC.
Binance to support the development of a legal framework to regulate and support the digital assets business in the country.
Binance will provide appropriate training on digital assets for the region.
Gleb Kostarev, Binance’s regional head for Asia, said: “In the Southeast Asia region, where blockchain and digital asset adoption is high, Cambodia can be a leading market. Binance hopes to add value to the Cambodian securities industry by providing extensive and professional knowledge of the digital asset market.”
Binance’s comprehensive cryptocurrency mining platform, Binance Pool, announced its partnership with UltimusPool, a full-featured mining pool solution designed to provide easy-to-use, reliable, green, and compliant services for professional cryptocurrency miners worldwide.
As a technical service provider for Binance Pool, UltimusPool will provide a user-friendly pool service platform attractive to miners and give users access to reasonable mining fees and daily payouts.

Facebook Will Support NFTs in the Future
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg recently announced plans to invest $10 billion in the Metaverse. He believes that the Metaverse will be the successor of the mobile internet, allowing users to create virtual worlds. Zuckerberg teased that Facebook would support NFTs in the future. The social network announced earlier this week that it would invest $10 billion into the Metaverse this year. Other prominent figures in the crypto space have expressed similar views. Among them is Raoul Pal, a former hedge fund manager and outspoken crypto enthusiast.
In the early days, Stephenson’s vision of lifelike avatars in virtual reality scenarios and 3D structures inspired the concept of a metaverse. He later went on to develop Ethereum, the most popular cryptocurrency. The concept of a metaverse is still developing, but there are several applications that have already been launched. Tokenized digital assets are becoming more popular. They make transactions on the blockchain transparent. For example, a holder of an Ethereum token can invest in Metaverse-related businesses.
Blockchain technology plays an integral part in the Metaverse, which allows users to create virtual worlds and objects. One such game uses Ethereum and is called Decentraland. Players can buy virtual land by buying “land tokens” – non-fungible cryptocurrency. This allows people to have their own land in the metaverse, which has no central authority or economic system. Decentraland features a robust social network, a decentralized economy, and a number of games.
