Macro analyst Lyn Alden says that the king crypto (Bitcoin) could rally higher over the coming months if certain conditions are fulfilled.
Asked in a Coin Stories interview whether BTC could revisit its all-time high this year, Alden says that the price of leading cryptocurrency could surge if the Federal Reserve reverses its current hawkish monetary policy measures, such as raising interest rates and the unwinding of asset purchases.
βI mean if you had a total capitulation, like if you had a pivot in Fed policy and a re-liquefaction of markets, itβs a pretty high volatility asset [Bitcoin]. So you could have a pretty big swing up. You could retest some highs.β

Is Facebook a Threat to the Metaverse?
The concept of a virtual world called the Metaverse is growing in popularity. Blockchain-based applications allow users to create and own virtual land and play games to earn money. Popular metaverses include SecondLive, Decentraland, and Axie Infinity. These platforms are based on Ethereum and use Axies, a non-fungible token, to provide a virtual environment. Users can create avatars by choosing from over 500 different parts. They can breed multiple times, and the offspring can be sold on the gaming platform.
Facebook has faced many criticisms for its privacy policies, fake news, and hate speech. Facebook has said it will responsibly build the Metaverse, while highlighting its commitment to privacy and open collaboration with external firms. However, some in the crypto community are skeptical and think that the social media giant could sabotage the Metaverse. Cryptocurrency analyst Yat Siu argues that Facebook is a potential threat to the Metaverse. Therefore, it’s important to understand what Facebook’s role in building the Metaverse is.
The concept of a metaverse is not new. Video games have already created smaller versions. For example, the popular Fortnite video game hosted a Travis Scott virtual concert in the game, a virtual event that attracted 12 million gamers. The Metaverse, however, is designed to be an online social community. It could be accessed by VR headsets, which are currently used primarily for gaming. Furthermore, it could even enable people to do virtual work.
