Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg Sees Potential in the Metaverse
If you’ve been wondering about the Metaverse, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve been exploring its possibilities for years, and we’re excited to announce that Meta has launched its own game developer platform, Crayta. Like Roblox, it’s a decentralized platform where users can collaborate and build games in real time. It’ll be available on both desktop and mobile devices, and it comes after Meta acquired Unit 2 Games in June 2021.
The metaverse allows users to own their own virtual land using blockchain-based applications. They can also play games and earn money. Popular metaverses include Decentraland, Axie Infinity, and SecondLive. The latter is built on the Ethereum blockchain, and Axies are a non-fungible token. They can be constructed from more than 500 body parts, and they can breed seven times. The offspring can be sold on the gaming platform.
Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg sees the potential of the metaverse. The social network recently invested in the Oculus virtual reality headset. The tech giants Nvidia and Unity have also been making moves to develop metaverse frameworks. The company Roblox, meanwhile, has partnered with Tencent Holdings Ltd. and registered trademarks for QQ. These companies are investing billions of dollars in research and development for the Metaverse.
The Metaverse is already bringing a whole new level of entertainment to the virtual world. Players can meet new people in the Metaverse, form relationships, and trade virtual goods and services. Another major aspect of metaverse gaming will be play-to-earn. Gamers will be able to sell items to other users for cryptocurrency. In the future, the architecture of the metaverse may make it possible to create portable game assets. Moreover, NFT rules will govern persistent ownership.
